A Deputy Superintendent of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has accidentally shot and killed his colleague in Abuja.
The tragic incident happened around 10:20 a.m. on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the Life Camp area.
According to reports, DSC Adekunle Emmanuel was mistakenly shot on his upper arm by a fellow operative while they were on their way to a principal’s residence at Lias Estate from Corner View Hotel.
He was immediately rushed to Maitama General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. His body has since been deposited in the hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The officer responsible for the accidental discharge is now in custody and is being interrogated.
