The internet has once again proven its power to transform lives, as Emmanuel Obruste, better known as GheGhe, has captured the hearts of Nigerians with his self-styled “University of Wisdom and Understanding.”

According to a viral post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @Olamide0fficial, GheGhe revealed that his online university has attracted over 170,000 live viewers and earned him more than $30,000 in gifts during a single TikTok session.

In the now-viral video, GheGhe, who proudly identifies as an orphan with no formal university degree, shared his gratitude:

“Thank you so much Nigerians for the love. More than 170,000 people watched me live on TikTok. They watched my lectures today at GheGhe University of Wisdom and Understanding.”

He humorously described his institution as:

“the only university where, when you graduate, women will fear you and hesitate to ask you for money.”

Despite never attending university himself, GheGhe declared:

“I’m now the first person in the history of Nigeria that 170,000 people watched live. I’m not a graduate, but by the grace of God, I founded a school.”

Calling himself “the first illiterate to establish a university in Nigeria,” GheGhe emphasized that his success comes not from certificates but from the love and support of Nigerians.

The story has sparked massive reactions online:

Some praised GheGhe’s creativity and ability to turn entertainment into success.

Others joked about enrolling in his “University of Wisdom” to collect a certificate.

A few skeptics, however, questioned the sustainability of such online fame.

One user commented:

“This guy turned comedy into a brand. Nigerians will always support vibes.”
