A devastating tragedy has struck Enugu State as a family of five reportedly lost their lives in a horrific accident involving a Dangote truck at Four Corner Junction on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
The heartbreaking news was shared by Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop, who posted photos of the aftermath on his Instagram page.
Eyewitnesses say the truck lost control at the busy junction, colliding with a family vehicle and leaving all five members dead on the spot. The chilling images of the wreckage have since circulated online, sparking grief and outrage among Nigerians.
This accident comes just days after the country was shaken by another Dangote truck incident — this time involving Ruth Otabor, the younger sister of BBNaija star Phyna.
Ruth was struck shortly after graduating from Auchi Polytechnic, which led to the amputation of her leg. Sadly, she passed away on August 31, 2025, a loss confirmed in a statement shared on Phyna’s Instagram account.
These back-to-back tragedies have fueled renewed criticism of the company’s trucks, which have long been associated with deadly road accidents across Nigeria.
Online, Nigerians are expressing deep sorrow and anger:
Some are demanding stricter regulations for heavy-duty trucks.
Others are calling for accountability from Dangote Group, urging the company to prioritize road safety and driver training.
Many are mourning the victims, describing the repeated accidents as avoidable and unacceptable.
