A Nigerian lawyer has gone viral on social media after narrating the most painful heartbreak of his life — one that involved a girlfriend who got pregnant for the very man she once dismissed as “just a common tailor.”
The story was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @egi_nupe___, who recalled how his then-girlfriend assured him that he had nothing to worry about regarding a tailor who was showing interest in her. According to her, the man was insignificant and only disturbing her.
But in a shocking twist, the same tailor eventually impregnated her and later married her.
“He later impregnated her and they are now married,” he wrote, adding laughing emojis to highlight the bitter irony.
When asked about the biggest lie he had ever been told, he quoted the viral tweet with her words:
“He’s just a common tailor that’s disturbing me.”
The lawyer revealed that the heartbreak hit him so hard that he almost harmed himself at the time.
“Lmao, I was! But it no reach the heartbreak wey I chop in 2013. I nearly drank Izal,” he confessed.
His revelation sparked a wave of emotional and humorous reactions online. While some sympathized with his painful experience, others joked about the situation.
