In a deeply heartbreaking twist of fate, a man who miraculously survived a brutal kidnapping attempt and an onslaught of over 17 bullets just yesterday has died today in a motorcycle accident.

The man, known affectionately as Ability, had welcomed visitors to his home this morning, offering them drinks as a gesture of gratitude for their support during his terrifying ordeal.

“This morning we were in his house,” shared activist Harrison Gwamnishu in shock. “Ability gave me Four Cousin and appreciated me for the work I do. This evening, he told them to carry him on a motorcycle to visit his wife—and had an accident that took his life.”

The sudden tragedy has left family, friends, and the wider community reeling.

“WHICH KIND LIFE BE THIS?” Gwamnishu wrote in disbelief. “See strong Ability inside casket. This is the worst news. A man that survived more than 17 bullets from armed kidnappers yesterday, slept, woke up, and this evening he’s been lowered.”

The news has since sparked an outpouring of grief online, as many struggle to comprehend how someone who overcame certain death in one moment could lose his life so suddenly the next.

Ability’s story, painfully brief yet deeply striking, is a reminder of life’s unpredictability—and the thin line that often separates survival from tragedy.
