A tragic incident unfolded on July 15, 2025, in Anyigba, Kogi State, when Dr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle—a lecturer at Prince Abubakar Audu University—reportedly lost his life while in the company of a 22-year-old student identified as Gloria Samuel.
According to sources, Dr. Olabode and Gloria had checked into a hotel earlier that day. It is alleged that the lecturer consumed several energy drinks beforehand, apparently in an attempt to boost his stamina for the intimate encounter.
Moments later, during their private time together, tragedy struck: Dr. Olabode suddenly collapsed. Alarmed, Gloria quickly called for help, drawing the attention of hotel staff. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, the lecturer was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.
