A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to lament her frustration over her husband’s decision to install CCTV cameras across their home while living abroad.
In the viral video, the unidentified woman said the surveillance has made her feel unsafe and constantly monitored, especially as the cameras come with two-way audio that allows her husband to speak to her at any time.
She narrated how her husband once interrupted her while she was making TikTok videos in the compound. According to her, he suddenly spoke through the device, saying:
“Woman, Imo State woman.”
The wife described the experience as invasive and unsettling, explaining that she no longer feels comfortable in her kitchen, bedroom, or any part of the house.
Expressing regret, she warned other women against marrying men based abroad, claiming that distance had fueled the lack of trust.
“No marry man wey dey abroad. I don tire, Chineke,” she said in Pidgin.
