Reality TV star Josephina “Phyna” Otabor has tearfully apologized to activist Verydarkman, begging him not to abandon her in the ongoing case involving a Dangote Group truck accident that left her sister injured.
Earlier, Verydarkman accused Phyna of betrayal, claiming she had gone behind his back to secretly meet with the Dangote Group without informing him. The activist, who had initially thrown his weight behind Phyna, publicly declared he was withdrawing from the case, though he warned that if anything happened to Phyna’s sister, he would hold the company accountable.
Responding in an emotional video, Phyna broke down in tears as she denied betraying him and pleaded for his continued support.
“Verydarkman, if you feel there’s something I did to you, I’m sorry but I can’t see it, I don’t know. I tried, I called, I gave you updates. You were not replying, I don’t know if your phone was with EFCC again that’s why you were not replying.”
She went on to insist that she never intended to sideline him:
“If you feel I betrayed you, abeg I’m sorry. I’m actually the one that feels betrayed because I kept messaging you and calling you. If you felt I did something wrong, you could have called me and said, ‘Phyna, look at what you did.’ This not what I need right now.”
Phyna expressed her disappointment at the activist’s reaction, saying she confided personal matters in him that she never expected to see online.
“If I offended you, I am sorry, Verydarkman. You did a great job, you lent your voice and honestly I appreciate it. But these videos I’m seeing, I didn’t expect it. I told you some personal things I didn’t want out, yet it came online. It’s my sister first — let’s leave the distractions for now.”
She concluded her appeal by reaffirming her desperation for justice:
“If I offended you, I’m really sorry. I still need you in this case………”
