Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has made a significant donation to the Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, as part of his commitment to improving education and infrastructure in underserved communities. The school, which serves over 2,500 students, was in dire need of basic resources, with only one desktop computer and no access to electricity.
Moved to action by activist Aisha Yesufu's plea, Obi donated 10 laptops, 3 printers, and ₦6 million to support the school's development. The funds will be used to equip the school's laboratory, set up a computer classroom, and provide a handheld motorized borehole.
Obi's gesture is more than just a donation; it's a sincere commitment to the future of the community. He emphasized the need for Nigerians to prioritize education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation, criticizing the neglect of critical sectors and the luxurious lifestyle of public officials.
